What Every Singer Needs to Know about Throat Tension, Strain AND Vocal Fatigue

First things first, I want you to know that experiencing tension and fatigue does NOT mean you're a bad singer and is nothing to feel shame around.

It DOES mean that there's room for more efficiency and freedom though and those are the opportunities I shine a light on in this video.

3 common underlying causes of vocal strain and fatigue

  1. Clinging to "shoulds" or "rules" (and trying to make sure they happen is creating tightness or tension).

  2. There's a gap between the sound you want to make and how you're creating it with your breath and your vocal cords.

  3. You're feeling scared, insecure or unable to truly own your voice.
